The Municipal Mayor, as the Chief Executive of the Municipal Government, shall exercise such powers and functions as provided for by laws. For efficient, effective and economical governance the purpose of which is the general welfare of the municipality and its inhabitants pursuant to Section 16 of the 1991 Local Government Code.
The Municipal Mayor shall:
Exercise general supervision and control over all programs, projects, services, and activities of the municipal government.
Enforce all laws and ordinances relative to the government of the municipaloty and the exercise of its corporate powers, implement all approved policies, programs, projects, services and activities of the municipality.
Initiate and maximize the generation of resources and revenues and apply the same to the implemenatation of development plans, program objectives and priorities.
