September 1, 2009 - Mayor Kimi S. Cojuangco led the mass oath taking ceremony during the 109th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service at the Juan G. Macaraeg National High School, Binalonan, Pangasinan.

The theme of the activity, “Honoring Our Heroes in Republic Service Responsive, Ethical Public Servants with Vision, Impact, Commitment and Excellence,” is not merely aimed at giving credit to our heroes who have died for our people’s sake but a challenge to all the different government sectors to renew their commitment and confirmation to the call of the service and to give their best in everything that they do as public servants.

The new Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Viraluz S. Raguindin, made the challenge to the many participants who represented the several sectors of government bureaus. In her speech, she made a clear interpretation of “good work” as not merely excelling in an assigned task but also the thoughtful responsibilities and its implications with respect towards their friends, peers, families and their colleagues.
