The extent of this year’s enrollees in the Day Care centers in Sison proved to be enormous for a day activity and for the covered venue, the Yellow Nipa Hut (YNH), to contain. This impelled Mayor Mina Joy Pangasinan and the Municipal Social and Welfare and Development Officer, Ms. Nancy Haban, to split the activity into a two-day affair.
On March 12 and 13, 2012, the YNH was filled to the brim with day care children clad in their bright pink and blue togas. Even with the split, the teachers and the parents still had their hands full with the exuberant and fidgety preschoolers who had difficulty remaining in their seats.

On the first day, the mayor delighted all the participants with her graceful presence. During her speech, she extolled the parents for their sacrifices and their gallant pursuit to provide their children with a great start to a bright future. Sending them to this initial stage of school tutelage is a clear manifestation of that desire.

She also commended the teachers who continue their hard work despite all the adversities that comes with their profession. She assured the teachers that their admirable work has not gone unnoticed and that measures have been made to improve their status.
She encouraged the parents to continue with their noble aspirations and in wrapping up her speech, she gave assurance that she and Congresswoman Kimi Cojuangco will always be working alongside parents and teachers in their pursuit. They will always be in constant search for provisions and assistance that they may be able to bring home for the children.
