KARYO FLIES TO THE LAND OF DOLLS

| “Make haste in coming here to the US so you can see people who are like beauuuutiful dolls!”…. ex VM Madriaga
The Pangasinan Provincial Tribal Federation Chieftain, Mr. Inocencio “Karyo” G. Carganilla, bid adieu to the staffs of the Mayor’s office a day before his scheduled flight to the United States of America where he and the Mayor, Honorable Kimi S. Cojuangco, were invited to grace the founding anniversary of the Sisonian organization at the famed Sheraton Hotel in San Diego, California on August 30 & 31, 2008.
There was elation and there were snapshots. Customary to events like this, everyone in the office told sizes of their shoes and chocolate bars. One of the three K’s, Mr. Eleuterio “Keong” Reyes, who was left behind to supervise all ongoing projects of the Mayor said that sneakers in the US costs .99¢ only. But melancholy suddenly engulfed each one as the big brother headed for the door and disappeared.
The duo’s visit to the US is also a part of the crusade of Mayor Kimi to unite all Sisonians into one common goal and that is to make the municipality of Sison a very progressive town and a better place to live in. Partly, it is also their intent to invite them home to attend the town’s 2008 anniversary celebration and for them to personally witness the town’s remarkable transformation.
The out of town activity of Mayor Kimi and Mr. Inocencio “Karyo” Carganilla is funded by the personal account of Mayor Kimi.
The absence of the duo now created a slight gloomy ambiance in the Mayor’s office. The contagious laughter of Mayor Kimi, as Ms. Ophelia P. Glasser described, is yearned and the roar of the provincial tribal chief is now absent that created some spaces. But the few visits of the Honorable Congressman, Mark O. Cojuangco, in the office set no place for emotions to thrive. The immense devastation created by typhoon Cosme in Sison put the Congressman in a more aggressive stance in the restoration process that also put his men, composed mostly of engineers, and the municipal employees in double time mode. But the constant visit of typhoons lately is impeding his restoration project - putting Engr. Exequiel Lacsinto and Engr. Jonar Manaois into near terror because the situation could trigger another jump to triple mode.
The Honorable Congressman funded the town anew with P15 Million from his PDAF. Another substantial amount is in the process.
