October 22, 2007 – The town’s idols garner nonstop recognition as they also guested in one of the of the nation’s legendary noontime show, GMA 7’s Eat Bulaga!
The pack left Sison a day before the event and checked-in in one of the hotels in Mabini under the direct control and supervision of the search’s committee chairwoman, Atty. Mina Joy C. Pangasinan, Dr. Joseph Ramos and Ms. Joy P, Julaton, who all suffered the irony of pleasure and the agony of defeat taking care of a bunch in extreme delirious excitement. Yet, they were fortunate. It would have been a disaster to have added the Municipal Engineer in their custody.
The experience was not the Idols’ sole possession. The opportunity was also offered to all office heads, Mayor’s Office staffs and members of the Sanggunian Bayan who were as excited as the Idols.
The whole outline and financial requirement of the activity was designed and funded by Mayor Kimi in her bid not only to promote the “Search for Sison’s Idol” but also to challenge the youth and to put a hype in the town’s name that have long been hiding under a spell of deep slumber.
The experience and honor that the youths are currently reaping through the Sison’s Idols are beyond dreams and expectations aimed to put courage and inspiration in their quest to life’s stardom. It may be costly but the joy of sharing for a worthy mission exonerates one from frugality infringement.
The show was hosted by former Senator, Tito Sotto, Mr. Anjo Yllana, Ruby Rodriguez, Julia Clarete, Pauleen Luna and the notorious syntax assassin, Mr. Jimmy Santos.
